A must-make al year round! This raw vegan chocolate bars are addictive!
The best healthy treats are the ones without refined sugar and processed fats. Like this one! Everything about this chocolate bar screams “decadent”!
The sugar comes from maple syrup and dates. The fat from coconut oil and the chocolate I use is organic and raw.
The only problem I have with this decadent treat is that it is impossible to eat just a piece. I cannot resist, and end up eating the whole thing in a couple of days…

I have no idea how I got this recipe, most likely it was given by a friend. What I love about it is that I can use the fresh almond or coconut pulp from my homemade milk instead of buying them. I have been trying different ingredients, and it is always delicious every time!
Because of the higher fat content, this delicious treat makes a perfect pre-workout snack. I have to hide the container from myself all the way back in the freezer; otherwise, they become a pre and post workout snack, a topping to my breakfast oatmeal, dessert, a pacifier in stressful days,… they are dangerous!
Raw Vegan Chocolate Bars
Ingredients
First and last (top) layer:
(make a double batch)
 6 tablespoons melted coconut oil
6 tablespoons raw cacao powder
1 tablespoon maple syrup
Second layer:
1/2 cup almond flour
1/2 cup coconut flour
4 tbs melted coconut oil
1/2 tsp organic vanilla extract
3 tbs almond milk
1 tbs maple syrup
Third layer:
6 Medjool dates
1 tablespoon peanut butter
1 tablespoon water
handful peanuts
Instructions
In a small baking dish mix all ingredients in the first layer and freeze for 15 min. I make this twice and keep the second batch in a container in the fridge, to be added on top as the last layer.
Mix ingredients for the second layer. Add on to the first layer and freeze for 1 hour.
Mix ingredients for the third layer. Add on to the layer and freeze for 1-2 hours.
The last layer is the chocolate first layer that was set aside.
After a couple of hours in the freezer, cut into bars and store in an airtight container in the freezer.
